The series “3D Flower” by Paul Riedmüller is inspired by the artist's digital paintings. Riedmüller wished to express the digital aesthetic through physical works, and he, therefore, developed a special technique to give the artworks this distinct digital characteristic. He uses wet oil paint that he blows a smooth texture into with a compressor, which creates a 3D effect that imitates the digital aesthetic perfectly.
