Johannes Ehemann (b. 1996, Germany) is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Frankfurt am Main. Through his work, he challenges our perception of materials by making paintings look like three-dimensional scrunched paper and bending steel to mimic fragile origami. Ehemann's works are a dialogue between structure and emotion, a play of sharp edges, sculptural surfaces and textural depth. Using techniques inspired by architectural principles and a love of experimentation, he creates works that challenge traditional painting and sculpture making.

Johannes Ehemann has exhibited in shows and art fairs around the globe. Most recently, a solo exhibition at Better Go South in Berlin, DE. His work has been shown by Ulstrup Gallery multiple times, both as part of our physical and online programme.
