“Fear and loathing 1”, 40 x 30 cm, 2025, Ink on paper and passepartout incl. frame
In the drawings “Fear and Loathing” 1 and 2, Marlon Bellet wanted to encapsulate the unseen forces that one experiences when inhabiting and navigating an urban environment. The drawings also serve as an introduction to the accumulation of symbols and lore in the works of Bellet. The assortment of these is inspired by public wall spaces, which are covered in a diverse composition of signs, posters, advertisements, or graffiti. The title is a reference to the movie “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”.
The drawings are on A4 paper paired with an airbrushed passepartout. Including object frame.
