Zdenek Konvalina (b. 1979, CZ) paints visual brushstrokes on a blurred spray-painted background, resembling “shadows” from the foreground that is the brushstrokes. The smooth application of spray paint contrasted by the raw brushstrokes replicates the division between the tangible physical world and the virtual digital world, but also their inevitable coexistence is reflected as the impact shadow relationship between the two dimensions.
