This artwork by artist duo Sobekcis takes a minimal approach to composition. Inspired by modernist monuments, the duo wanted to translate the sense of weight and permanence associated with concrete structures into a medium as delicate as paper. Through the use of texture and layered forms, the work creates a feeling of mass, heaviness, and rigidity while remaining rooted in the fragility of its material.
